We've Finally Entered the 21st Century!

Dear Patient, Friends, Family and Community Members,

Welcome to our new Kennedy Chiropractic Wellness Centre website and welcome to our blog!  Our website provides all kinds of information on Healthy Living (Wellness) and all things good.  Those of you that are familiar with me know that I can "get up on my soap box" with the best of them and go on and on about many different topics.  This blog provides me one more means of expressing to you some of the things I've picked up along my journey called "Life".

Since this is the first blog, I want to take a little time to draw your attention to the Member's Topics Section of the website.  If you have not already signed up, please do so.  There are many benefits to being a "Member" - including computer animated exercises, archived newsletters, etc.  I'm sure you'll find a lot of informative stuff there.  In addition, you might like to visit the Success Stories section on the website.  We already have a few reviews to inspire you however we would LOVE for you to add your very own "chiropractic story".  There are so many miracles and lives chiropractic has touched and this is one more way of sharing.

I have dedicated my professional career to educating my Patients and my Community about Healthy Eating, Healthy Thinking and Healthy Moving with Chiropractic Wellness Care at the Core.  This is my main Purpose and Goal in life!

I have thrived on the Chiropractic Wellness Lifestyle.  Indeed, I was raised in that lifestyle.  The Chiropractic Wellness Lifestyle can benefit you and your family too.   So that is where I'm going to start my blog.

This may shock you but I don't have a Medical Doctor - I never have.  My wife Sharon doesn't go to an M.D. either.  My Mother has not been for a check up with a G.P. since I was born.  What's the shocking part you say?  Well, it's that we are all still alive and healthy.  According to the media hype, we should all be very sickly - or dead - without having regular medical check-ups.  You may say that because I don't go for physicals I simply don't know if I'm sick.  I would argue that may be true if I weren't a Doctor of Chiropractic but I have just as much understanding of the human body as any M.D does.  Indeed, I do go to a Doctor regularly - they just happen to be a Doctor of Chiropractic!!  Chiropractors know signs and symptoms of illness just as well as M.D.'s do.  So you see, I do know that my family and I don't have any health issues.

FYI, as a child I wasn't even vaccinated.  And I survived all the dreaded deadly childhood diseases.  I wasn't medicated as a child either.  All I got was Chiropractic Adjustments by my Father.  The same thing holds true for my sister. The same for her four children.  The same for our son. You might argue that it's just luck, fluke and I would say we make our own luck.  I make my luck by living a healthy lifestyle.  Let me give you some examples.  Sharon & I exercise 6 days a week.  We get weekly chiropractic adjustments.   We do the best we can to eat the healthiest foods and take the best vitamin supplements we can afford.  We try and get proper rest and we do biofeedback/meditation to de-stress.  Does that sound like luck?

My Mother is an active senior.  She takes care of her own house with three dogs and a big garden.  She does yoga regularly and tries to eat a healthy diet with supplements too.  She gets regular chiropractic adjustments - always has.  And the worst sickness she has ever had since living the chiropractic wellness lifestyle is a bad cold.  I could go on and on about my other family members as well but I think you get the point.  And if you don't I'm about to tell you what it is:

Being Healthy is not about Good Luck or Good Genes.

Being Unhealthy is not about Bad Luck or Bad Genes.

Good Health is all about Proper Choices -- Bad Health is all about Poor Choices.

What are the proper choices?  Those of you that have been attending our Wellness Workshops already know the answer.   Maybe I'll delve into it a little bit in our next blog.

Please feel free to respond and leave comments so you too can have a voice.  As you know, I am not afraid to take on controversial topics such as our sick care system, medication overuse, media mind manipulation, etc.  I will try to remain respectful in expressing my views and I ask that you do the same.

Life is a journey, not a destination
Health too is a journey, not a destination
